Left-Handed? You Can Find Assistance with Your Advanced Education

July 15th, 2009

It’s not easy to find a college bursary these days. Scholarships are not the same as a student loan in that the money is a grant, so it doesn’t have to be paid off. As you look for means to finance your college degree, remember that funds are accessible at unlikely sites, for instance scholarships for southpaw scholars.

Scholarships for Lefties

A lefty bursary may at first appear a little bit unusual, however it’s worth looking at this: Benjamin Franklin was a left hander, so is the president of the USA, Barack Obama. Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Jimi Hendrix and Winston Churchill were also left-handed. An estimated eleven percent of the population are left-handed. Although in the past left-handers have gone through considerable discrimination, nowadays they are considered to be more intelligent and more artistic. Today, lefties are no longer discriminated against or thought of as odd, and may have many things associated with the exceptional individuals noted above. If you’re a southpaw and researching grants specifically for lefthanded students, numerous left handed scholarships are accessible which you could obtain. The Frederick and Mary F. Beckley Scholarship for up to one thousand dollars is currently available at Juniata College stuated in Huntington, Pennsylvania. For students of Juniata College and it was established in the late 1970’s, this unique college grant assists many students in their pursuit for a college degree. Some grants may have prerequisites or limitations. This may include grades or financial needs, but not in every case. Multiple program applications will increase your probabilities of finishing with a minimal amount of debt. You might also look at local organizations, societies and groups affiliated with your hobbies. Southpaw bursaries aren’t a unusual example; funds are also obtainable if you’re a child of a from a armed services household or are disabled, for example.

You will probably need to spend quite a bit of your time exploring grants, of course the payoff will be worth it. The debt accrued by a university education may be reduced by these funds used in conjunction standard lending. Leave no stone unturned in searching all opportunities. Be aware there are different options as well as left handed bursaries - consider all your clubs and societies and don’t forget to utilize your creativity. Try for everything you think you are qualified for, you may keep any debt to a an absolute minimum, and you’ll look forward to a better financial future when you finally graduate.

Shopping at International Designer Boutiques

July 15th, 2009

Our shopping spree during our Aruba vacation was quite something. Maggie wanted to shop for some fashionable clothes and accessories. So we planned to leave our hotel quite early on Sunday to go shopping in the malls and stores in Oranjestad. As we had heard from friends about the duty-free shopping and international designer boutiques in Oranjestad, we wanted to check them out. Fortunately, the hotel staff informed us that most of the shops remain closed on Sunday and thus saved us the bother of going all the way into town and coming back empty handed.

So, the next day we were geared up for some serious shopping and marched out of our hotel. We called for a cab and asked the cabbie whether he knew any trendy international designer boutique and if he could take us to a few. He nodded eagerly and swerved his car in the direction of the town.

When we reached town, the cabbie stopped in front of the Royal Plaza Mall, not a disappointing choice, as it is chock-a-block with upscale stores, duty-free shops, restaurants, and a few international designer boutiques. The next place we visited was the Louis Vuitton store to pick up a suitcase for all the clothes that Maggie was buying. Mont Blanc’s exclusive store, which had a great collection of bags and accessories, made Maggie’s day!

The Swarovski Boutique, another of the international designer boutiques here had Maggie cooing over the extensive line of jewelry. While these stores made Maggie happy, the Benlo Cigar store was reason enough for me to tag along with her and bear with the incessant queries of, “Honey, do I look fat in this?” or “Darling, you think this will go with that dress?”

God! By the end of the day was I happy to return to the hotel albeit with a much lighter wallet !

Why a Champion Juicer Might Be Meant for You

July 15th, 2009

The Champion Juicer is an intriguing juicer because it falls somewhere between the usual realm of centrifugal juicers and mastication juicers. Most masticating juicers are designed to cater to the super health-conscious juicer and therefore are juice wheatgrass. Similarly, they are often cold-press juicers (no faster than 200 RPMs to avoid oxidation). However, the Champion Juicer can’t handle wheatgrass and its motor runs at 1250 RPMs. Thats definitely more than 200 RPMs but its also much slower than the 5000 RPMs of some centrifuge juicers. Therefore, Champion Juicers seem to cater to their very own segment. You could fall into that segment!

The RPM of the motor is actually a great way to illustrate where Champion falls on the spectrum. They don’t need to be the healthiest juicer out there, simply healthier than centrifuge juicers, and not as slow as cold-press juicers. Therefore, if youd like to juice for a healthier lifestyle but dont have the extra time to spend juicing or you dont intend to juice wheatgrass, a Champion Juicer is a great choice for you.

Champion Juicers are very durable juicers. They were built to last, which is probably why Champion offers a 10 Year Warranty. Theyve had pretty much the same design for about 50 years, and it has stood the test of time. They only have 2 different models- the Household and the Commercial version. The only noticeable difference is that the Commercial version has stronger ball bearings and can be run for longer periods of time. So, if you know that you will juice in large bulks or you have some form of a business that you plan to use the juicer for, the commercial version would be a good idea. Both versions come in 4 different colors (White, Silver, Almond and Black) of a painted metal body. The metal aspect makes them easy to clean and difficult to stain. Like all mastication juicers, they can be used as a food processor for more creativity in the kitchen.
