Be it for everyday use or for vacation, you can find a pushchair to suit every need. With the primary focus on the safety and comfort of the baby inside, pushchairs come in a variety of models and designs to meet every possible requirement. Commonly known as strollers in the US, these transport systems come in a range of designs, models, styles and features.

Different types of pushchairs address different needs of parents and babies. For parents of twins or two small children, you have the double pushchairs. These can further be categorised into twin or tandem models. Twin models accommodate babies side-by-side, while tandems have them seated one-behind-the-other. Triple models are also available for children up to 4 years of age. However, a pushchair is ideally designed for children from newborn age to 3 years.

Parents can carry their children either in sitting or sleeping position be making minimal adjustments to a pushchair. This gives parents the advantages of using the same pushchair as the baby grows older. For newborns, most pushchairs can accommodate car seats or carrycots which allow the parents to transform the pushchair into a fully functional travel solution for the baby.

Different usages are also addressed by some of the best pushchairs that are available in the market in various models. For heavy use or use over rough terrain, parents can opt for 3-wheel models. But these have to be chosen carefully, else they may be very bulky, making them difficult to carry around. Flat- folding or umbrella-folding models offer a good solution to this problem, as they are very user-friendly and are easily collapsible, and require minimum storage space.
